Welcome to the Lawrence Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District
The Lawrence Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District invites you to enjoy Lawrence Lake. The Lake is a 225 acre impoundment of Lawrence Creek, a Class 1 Trout stream located in Marquette County.
The Lake District was created by the homeowners of the area in 1987 after the failure of the spillway drained the Lake. The District is composed of 342 properties, with a majority of owners being full time residents. The District’s primary responsibilities are the protection of the Lake. This includes dam maintenance and monitoring, invasive species treatments – monitoring both in the water and along the shorelines, fish habitat, along with all of its precious resources. The District represents all members on issues involving the Lake and its watershed and encourages its members to provide input and suggestions on all matters.
The District Commissioners work closely with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to ensure proper execution and enforcement of state requirements with many other lake management and water protection organizations. The District is involved with the Lawrence Lake Sports Club and many other local organizations within the community.
On behalf of the District, the Board of Commissioners welcome you to enjoy all of the benefits that Lawrence Lake offers!
