The Comprehensive Plan serves as Marquette County’s official blueprint for growth, land use, transportation, economic development, and community character over the next decade. It is shaped by the priorities of residents, businesses, and communities across the country. This is a strategic 10-year update. We are evaluating how the County has changed since 2015 and aligning the existing plan with the current vision of the County. This will include updating data points, reorganizing the layout, and refreshing sections.

Did you know that the Lake District is zoned "recreational?" This allows people to park campers/rvs, make a lot of noise running generators, etc. on property even if they aren't the actual owners of the property (we are facing this problem now). As discussed at the Annual Meeting, all lake district members should complete the section on zoning requesting a change to residential. There are no differences in tax evaluations! The planning survey is found under "Get Involved" and the zoning survey is under "Land Use."
